Onesyde · Legal

Privacy policy

Draft for legal review. Operator identity, contact details, retention periods and final policies need confirmation before commercial launch.

1. Scope and controller

This notice explains how Onesyde uses personal information to provide local shopping and delivery. The operator's registered legal identity, business address and privacy contact must be confirmed before commercial launch.

2. Information collected

We process account and contact information, delivery addresses and instructions, orders, saved favourites, notification preferences, support messages, incident reports and verified transaction records. Signed-in activity dates may be recorded to measure usage. Optional personalized shopping records recently viewed products, shopping interests and interactions only when you enable it in Settings. Clear shopping activity or turn personalization off there; operational orders and saved favourites remain. Rider profiles and GPS are used for approved delivery operations.

3. Location information

A shopper's selected location is used to check coverage and select local products. Device location is accessed only with permission. Rider location sharing is limited to active assignments and used for dispatch, customer tracking and travel estimates. Denying location may limit these features; GPS is never represented as live when it is stale.

4. Purposes and legal basis

Information is used to fulfil orders, communicate about delivery, manage accounts, secure the service, resolve complaints, maintain financial records and understand product usage. Processing should rely on an appropriate legal basis under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, such as contract, legal obligation, consent or legitimate interests, as applicable.

5. Sharing and access

Authorized Onesyde staff access information needed for fulfilment and support. Approved assigned riders receive the details needed for active deliveries. Service providers may process information for hosting, account access, mapping and communications. Google Maps receives coordinates for supported mapping and route estimation. Personal data is not made publicly accessible by these features.

6. Storage, security and transfers

Access is restricted by account ownership and operational permissions. Hosting and other providers may process information outside Nigeria; the operator must document lawful safeguards where required. Retention periods and deletion procedures must be confirmed; no unsupported retention promise is made here.

7. Your choices and rights

Manage contact information, addresses, favourites and order notification preferences through your account. You may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or portability where applicable. Some records may need to be kept for lawful financial, safety or dispute purposes. Contact support for a privacy request until a dedicated contact is configured.

8. Browser storage and communications

The browser stores session information, your basket and selected location for essential functionality. Order notification preferences control supported in-app updates. This version does not claim marketing consent, push notifications or automatic email features that have not been enabled.

9. Complaints and updates

You can raise a privacy concern with the operator and, where applicable, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. This notice must be reviewed when data practices, providers or purposes change. The published effective date and contact details should be confirmed before launch.
